The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers to the community.

SASSA will be rendering solutions for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency reported it is actually alarmed regarding the substantial amount of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The goal from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a substantial quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no fully functional office devoted to service the area daily. The provider level developed for intervention ordeals a significant influx of probable beneficiaries, which makes it difficult for that office to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA sassa status will mobilise a lot more sources to help the servicing of all buyers and improve SRD use of Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
